- Bachelor Degree in theology from the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary, Lebanon.
- M.Div; D.Min in theology from Luther Rice Seminary, Atlanta, USA.
Career
- He is an evangelical pastor since 1983.
- He established two congregations and built two churches in Ain Najm (Northern Metn) and Aaba (Koura) and contributed to building a number of churches in different Lebanese and Syrian regions.
- He heads the Council of Evangelical Biblical Churches and is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon.
- He has hundreds of press releases, dozens of published articles and nine publications, the most important being “The Sovereigns”. He is an encyclopedic author where he writes about the essence of Christian political thought, global and local experiences, and his personal experience in politics and public affairs.
- Member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), in which he established the annual National Reading Prize (2011-2014).
Political Engagements
- MP since 2018.
- Former Member of FPM Municipal Committee, Public Relations Committee and Beirut District Committee.
- Former member and advisor of FPM Studies Committee in which he headed the Information Department since 2010, before being appointed as Coordinator of the Central Media Committee and a member of the Executive Council in 2016.
- Member of the Education and the Displaced Parliamentary Committee. He is the Chairman of the Parliamentary Lebanese-Irish Friendship Committee, and a member of a number of Parliamentary Friendship Committees.
- Member of more than one political and cultural gathering, including: the Christian National Gathering, the Eastern Christian Gathering, and the Union for Lebanon.
Worth Mentioning
- He established a field pharmacy, medical services, relief and shelter for hundreds of citizens who sought refuge in the areas of Al Metn and Koura and supported their return to their southern villages in 2006
- Member of the Board of Trustees of the Labora Foundation since its establishment in 2008 until 2018.
- Active in helping Syrian Christians to remain in their lands and churches since the beginning of the war in Syria.
- Presented a number of pioneering educational law proposals that would change the face of education.
