Education

  1. Developing and rehabilitating school buildings and equipping them with modern educational tools and equipment with the help of international organizations (more than 300 public schools) and securing and constructing modern school buildings on real estate owned by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in coordination with the United Nations organizations and the World Bank.
  2. Appointing about 300 public school and high school directors after years of vacancy, and 2,174 secondary education teachers in light of their success in the Civil Service Council competition.
  3. Developing an educational plan in response to the education crisis of Syrian students and creating job opportunities for more than 15,000 Lebanese teachers and university degree holders by working in accredited schools in the afternoon in order to teach Non-Lebanese Students.
  4. Undertaking the mechanization of official exams.
  5. Establishing educational developmental projects that contribute to raising the educational level and restoring confidence in the public sector:
    1. An advanced program through which the ministry informs students candidates for official exams of their results via their e-mail and phones within minutes of the results’ issuance.
    2. Adoption of committees to conduct oral interviews with university degree holders before random contracting to teach in public schools and high schools.
  6. Establishing the university council by appointing deans after years of disabling it.
  7. Making university professors full-timers by ensuring sectarian and regional balance after years of marginalizing specific groups.
  8. Appointing a head of the Educational Center for Research and Development and directors of “Dar el Mou3allimin”, and filling vacancies at the level of office heads and unit heads.
  9. Licensing the establishment of the first center for people with special needs at “Dar el Mou3allimin”, aiming at generalizing it at a later stage.
  10. Organizing the “All for Education” conference and starting the implementation of its decisions, and forming the higher commission for the development of the structure and curricula of public education, and the follow-up body by developing an action plan related to the preparation of the interactive curricula.
